ABOUT
Dr. Schauch is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Canada’s premier institute for education and research in this field.
Before pursuing a career in Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Dr. Schauch obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, with Distinction, from the University of Victoria, majoring in Biology.
With her passion for health and wellness, Dr. Schauch returned to her hometown and joined a family practice where her special interests grew to include: women’s health, stress management and adrenal fatigue, weight management, hormonal imbalances, digestive disorders, pediatrics, allergies, enhancing the immune system and detoxification.
She is currently the lead Naturopathic Doctor at Tall Tree Integrated Health Centre in Victoria, BC.
Current Practice and Publications
Dr. Schauch believes that true health and wellness is achieved by identifying the fundamental cause of disease through one-on-one patient care. By removing physical, mental or emotional barriers to health, she passionately believes that this can be achieved.
Dr. Schauch is the author of two books, Making Sense of Women’s Health and Collagen: Myths and Misconceptions, and co-authored The Adrenal Stress Connection and, more recently, Stress and the Disease Connection with Dr. Karen Jensen, ND. In addition to her clinical practice, she actively lectures across North America inspiring and educating thousands of people on healthy, positive lifestyle choices to live life to the fullest.
In addition to regularly writing for peer-reviewed and popular publications, Dr. Schauch regularly appears on radio and TV shows to discuss a wide variety of health-related topics.
She's also currently involved as a co-investigator in two clinical trials with the University of British Columbia and sits on the Editorial and Advisory Committee for Women’s Voice Magazine.
Dr. Schauch is a member in good standing of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC). She is certified in chelation/IV therapies and has licensed Prescriptive Authority in B.C.
My Approach to Wellness
In my practice, I help my patients achieve happy, healthy and vibrant lives by identifying the underlying cause of disease through individualized care. The body has an innate capacity to heal itself when we identify and remove physical, mental or emotional barriers to health. I strive to empower and educate my patients to take responsibility and own their path to optimal health!
My approach to treating my patients is integrative, combining scientific research and laboratory testing with clinical nutrition, lifestyle counselling, botanical medicine and homeopathy.
In my practice, I commonly treat most medical conditions but have special interests in women’s health, fatigue, stress management and adrenal health, endocrinology (hormone balancing), detoxification, weight management, chronic pain management, digestive disorders, cardiovascular disease, and allergies.
Doctor Marita is Certified Naturopathic Doctor and has licensed Prescriptive Authority in B.C., Canada.

I will keep confident what should not be divulged.
